OMAKASE
Omakase means “it’s your (chef’s) choice”. At Sono, it is a multi-course meal that utilizes the day’s finest ingredients to showcase the chef’s talent. The omakase will change from day-to-day depending on the chef and the ingredients that are available for that day. One of the few advantages of choosing the omakase meal is that you get a much better value for the food. If you were to order everything a la carte, it would easily double in price. Omakase allows diners to try and experience different things without ordering entire portions of the items. This is also a great way to get a “complete meal” from salad, appetizers, entrees, to dessert in one very reasonable price.
It may sound expensive but Sono’s omakase is equivalent to $70~$100 omakase meals at “bigger” cities such as New York or Los Angeles. We are trying to bring the omakase experience to the Triangle area at the cheapest price possible. Once you try any of the omakase’s, you will know that you got what you paid for.
